An olivine meteorite, also known as a pallasite, is a stony-iron meteorite that contains olivine crystals embedded within a nickel-iron matrix. These meteorites are a type of space rock that originate from the boundary between a planet or asteroid's core and mantle. The olivine crystals, often resembling the gemstone peridot, are a silicate mineral, while the surrounding metal is primarily composed of iron and nickel.
